• Django snippets: Templatetag for granular permissions: If you're using Django granular permissions, this templatetag may be useful. It enables you to check permission in templates, as mentioned in the code: {% has_row_perm user object "staff&qu ot; as some_var %} {% if some_var %} ... {% endif %} To be used in if statements, it always saves the result to the indicated context variable. Put the snippet in row_perms.py in yourapp.templa tetags package, and use {% load row_perms %} at your template.
• django-granula r-permissions - Django Granular Permissions allow you to setup per-row permissions. - Google Code: Django Granular Permissions allow you to setup per-row permissions. ver 0.2 adds NewForms-Admin support. This project is injecting new methods into Django's auth.User and auth.Group in a non-invasive way (doesn't require modifying Django's code). Simple permission checks within views and templates with templatetags. You just simply have to install django-granula r-permissions somewhere on your PYTHONPATH and add 'django_g ranular_permis sions' to your installed apps and invoke python manage.py syncdb Note: superusers will always have True returned on has_row_perm() , also not active users will always get False
